Lakeshore Park Snippets

I thought this iron support looked like a xxx-long twin bed.  Sleeping over water is incredibly soothing.  A hammock would be delightful.

The Eastern end of Ladybird lake before Longhorn Dam, after which, it becomes the Colorado River again.

It was 60ish and windy so Chupi was in and out of the water too fast for decent photos.  I like the movement of foliage in this one.

The East side of Longhorn Dam.

Retama or Palo Verde (Leguminosae Parkinsonia aculeata) is one of my favorite Texas native plants.  It has thorny green bark, sparse, blade-like leaves that create an airy effect and brilliant yellow flower bunches in the spring.
