Oooh La La, Judith Leiber at Glit Groupe
Fabulous Judith Lieber minaudieres at ridiculous prices at online 'sample sale' hosted by Glit Groupe. The sale only is only open until March 26th and half of the handbags and minaudieres are already sold out... hurry!
Pretty In Pink, The Frock
Great contrast between the plain top and the heavily embellished skirt of this charming flapper dress... almost makes me want to start wearing pink again!

Molten Glass Anemone, Chris Mosey
"Using molten glass, the artist simulates the heat and chemistry that creates the naturally occurring phenomena known as geodes. These coarse, unearthed rocks have been cracked open, revealing a hollow cavity encrusted with shimmering crystals."
I love implied movement of Chris Mosey's 'offering bowl'; it looks as if it belongs in the Belize Barrier Reef gently swaying in the warm currents.
MetalMouth, Found Objects
I came across this piece of scrap metal (lots of it lying around Upstate NY) walking to lunch one afternoon. I love how the corrosion and contortions of this once average object have now transformed it into some sort of sinister metal mouthpiece complete with teeth, or even someone's interpretation of the mythical Vagina dentata.

Folksy Animals
These bold paper mache animals are "envisioned as spirits of animals rather than actual animals made with refuse of human civilization." They are made in Japan (or now possibly Portland?) by Mumbleboy, also known as Kinya Hanada, and are available at his Etsy shop, Mumbreeze. The gallery link on his website takes you to some fantastically extensive flickr photo sets filled with stunning pieces that are definitely worth looking through. He also has a pretty interesting blog.
Wonderful beaded animals made by disadvantaged artisans in Cape Town, South Africa, available at the Museum of New Mexico Foundation.

Untitled #10
"Love=Love is a series of surreal and spectacular landscape photographs that were created using pieces from over 60 store-bought jigsaw puzzles. Since manufacturers occasionally use the same die to cut more than one puzzle, I was able to use each piece in its proper position within the grid of the puzzle. I deconstructed the original idyllic images first by removing flower and skies from each puzzle and then by re-combining them to form disorienting and fractured montage."
Archival pigment prints of Untitled #10 are available at 20x200: Great Art $20. Really. but probably only for a short time, they're selling like hot cakes!
